I will appreciate my time in church fully now...Why?what will you do if you had to walk for 15 minutes each time wanna go to church?going + mass + go back + dinner = 15+ 60+ 15+ 15.....................................................= 105 minutes.....................................................= 1 hour 45 minutes.....................................................= almost 2 hours .....................................................= there goes my evening...I'm not complaining about the church...but i spend 30 minutes walking along side a very busy busy road on Sunday evening...What if i get knocked down by a car? What if i was killed? What if my parents get sad? What if everyone missed me?Worse of all....Wat if i can't update my blog and reader(s) cant enjoy it anymore???anyway, that's not the point of this post. Holy Redeemer Church. More like a chapel.I still remember when i asked around for the church...Me...........................: .Auntie, can you tell me where the Catholic church is?Auntie on a bicycle: There's a big one nearby his area, while a small one ...................................is further. Which one is Catholic, I'm not sure. P.S: we're conversing in Chinese. Which Auntie on a bike can speak fluent English like what i typed?Back to the story, so i searched for the "bigger" and nearer church ( DUH!!!)then i reached...-.-'''It's about the size of the chapel in front of the St. Anthony's Church back in Bintulu!!!
That one also call big ah?I wonder what the "smaller" one looks like...Anyway, i managed to take a picture of the interior. Hope nobody there thinks I'm a spy...I'm sitting at the back, so u can estimate the size of the church.
WHOA!!! First time i see a Catholic church with a "special effect" behind the cross...I never noticed before because they covered the cross and other pictures of Jesus with purple cloth, since the start of Lent. Weird. In Bintulu, they did it only after Holy Thursday.Anyway, it's kinda modern for a Catholic church, with the slides and everything. The song's lyrics will appear on it with prayers too. But here, people don't have any books for the readings, and even though with the available projectory, it's still not shown. Sad to say, there are more Catholics in Qatar than here. I think the numbers of people going to the evening mass ( 3rd out of 3) can fill up the 3 front row seats of St. Anthony church. Oh well. Like the saying goes, Bleat when entering a sheep's barn, Moo when entering a cow's barn.
