But once again, they will ask me the same question :"Why do you think you deserve the prize?". So, I'll answer the question.
It started on the 21st December 2007, when I visited the Pavilion for some window shopping. OK, this clears the myth that guys do not window shop. The truth is, guys do window shop. Anyway, my friends and I planned to watch the movie "The National Treasure: Book of Secrets" at the new cinema.
So what does that have to do with me wanting the prize? A lot, actually. I can give you three very good reasons why I deserve the prize. The main reason is, after watching the movie, I made a hypothesis that the movie is not screened just for Malaysians to have fun or to make out with their partner s at the cinema. I believe that Malaysia has its own national treasure.
Yeah, call me a fool, that's what the people call Benjamin Franklin Gates before he found the treasure.
As I was saying, I believe that there are treasures in Malaysia that is yet to be found. So we figured out the possible clue. The first clue we got is obviously the movie itself. Where is the movie being shown? Pavilion. This means the treasure is somewhere in Pavilion. So we search high and low, and at last, we found it!
Or so it seems. When we opened the door, there's a note that reads "IN YOUR FACE!! HAHA!!"
It turns out the car is not the treasure after all. We were disappointed, but when I read the note over and over again, I noticed that it is another clue. Yes, it says "FACE", and immediately I remembered FACES! Where else can i find treasure if not from those guys who gives freebies every month? So I checked out the December's contest, and indeed, I found this National Treasure merchandise as one of the prizes in the list! So I do think I deserve to get the treasure, just like the Gates family deserved the fame for finding their treasures.
That's the first reason. The second reason is because this is the month of December. Which is also the month of giving. Santa always deliver presents to good kids and nothing to naughty kids. I don't remember being naughty, but Santa never visited me. I guess my family members forgot to tell Santa that I had moved out of the house to study across the South China Sea. As a result, I had no presents, and I had nobody to talk to on Christmas. The only person I spoke to is the KFC's cashier, with mono syllables. So, I hope FACES will act as Santa, and give me a present I like. I am a good boy, you know. I follow all my parent's instruction "Study well, get into good college, get a good job, find a wife and have lotsa kids". I already fulfilled 2/5, so this proves that I am being obedient :D .
The third reason is that i will have something to look forward to during the year 2008. Yup, if i won the prize, I will be informed in the month of January 2008. This means the National Treasure merchandise could possibly be the first gift I'll receive for the year 2008. This means I'll start my year on a high note, which will eventually lead to me being successful in the years to come. So, by giving me the prize, not only will I be happy, but you will make someone's future a brighter place.
Did I say three? I meant four reasons, actually. The last but not least reason is that I will be leaving Malaysia soon to further my studies. This means I won't be able to join all the contests from FACES because unless FACES is good enough to mail the prizes to Australia, I don't think I will be able to collect my prize. So, I will have to get the prize this month or missing out the chance to win anything at all for the next four years.
So dear kind-hearted FACES, I hope I win the prize before my time in Malaysia is up. I will bring back souvenirs from Australia! <----- This makes five. ;)
